Getting Your University Network
ID (NID)
and Password
Your University Network ID (uNID) is a unique identifier that allows you to access U networks and resources. Your uNID is created by substituting a "u" for the first zero in your student or employee ID. For example, the ID # 01234567 would become u1234567.
To activate your uNID, go to the Campus Information System at https://gate.acs.utah.edu and follow the instructions to login. Once you login and create a new password for your uNID, it will be activated.
Please contact the Campus Help Desk with any questions about your uNID or password at 581-4000, option 1.
