Students - Getting Started

First time user? Here’s what you will need to order software on-line:

1. You will need your University Network ID (uNID) and Password to complete an order.
   
   
2. Your uNID is the same ID that you use to log-on the the Campus Information System to register and access your records online.
   • if you have never logged-on to the Campus Information System, your uNID is your student ID with the first 0 (zero) replaced by a lower case "u". Your default password will be your birth date in mmddyy format.
   • The first time you log-on, you will be required to change the default password to a true password. You will find the password rules on the Campus Information System log-on page.
     
   • A few minutes after you change your password in the Campus Information System, your uNID and password will be activated so that you can log-on to Software Licensing.
     
   • If you have problems getting your uNID, please call the campus help desk at 581-4000.
     
     
3. Now you will be able to purchase discounted software licenses using a credit card. But please be aware that:
   • You must be a student to purchase academic licenses from Software Licensing.
     
   • Student academic licenses are for your personal computer - may only be installed on one computer - and are to be used only for academic purposes.
   • Student academic licenses may not be installed on University computers.
