  1. Please see our question 1 of our Order FAQ "Where do I access products I have purchased?"
  2. The download files are in a compressed zip file. You need to save the file(s) to your computer and then extract the files to a location on your local computer.

The install file name indicates the install file options:
    • avremover means that the install file will remove anti-virus software you already have installed. This option is recommended for most users. If you do not disable or remove other anti-virus software before installing this one, the programs will lock up your computer.
Note: If you are using the ESET Remote Administrator to deploy to client computers, you need to use the file without the AV remover.
    • nt32: this file is for 32-bit Windows operating systems.
    • nt64: this file is for 64-bit Windows operating systems.
Note: For more information, see 32-bit and 64-bit Windows: Frequently asked questions
    • enu: this indicates the language is English - United States.
  1. Go to where you saved the file (usually the Download folder).
  2. If the file is in a compressed file, extract or unzip the files to a location on your local drive.
  3. Open/Run the install file that fits your operating environment:
    • Installer with AV Remover: recommended for most users; will remove anti-virus software you have installed.
      • avremover_ees_nt32_enu.exe (with AV remover for 32-bit windows in English - United States)
      • avremover_ees_nt64_enu.exe (with AV remover for 32-bit windows in English - United States)
    • Installer without AV Remover: use if you are usingESET Remote Administrator to deploy to your client computers.
      • ees_nt32_enu.msi (without AV remover for 64-bit Windows in English - United States)
      • ees_nt64_enu.msi (without AV remover for 64-bit Windows in English - United States)
  4. When prompted, enter the license key (or username and password.)
  5. Wait for the installation to finish.

  6. Press 'OK' and wait for the program to update (usually less than 5 minutes.)
Try re-entering the license key or username/password that is shown on your OSL order receipt to reactivate the license. If the license still fails to activate send an email message to software@utah.edu with your order number and report the error.

The serial number file is provided when you purchase a node/client license. If you have purchased single user licenses and want to utilize the Remote Administrator, send a message to software@utah.edu with your order number and request the license file.
