Copilot is an AI-powered assistant that helps you draft content, analyze data, and work more efficiently across Microsoft 365 apps.

How to Get Started

  1. Sign in:
    Go to https://www.office.com and sign in with your university account.
  2. Use Copilot in your apps:
    Copilot is available in the following apps (look for the Copilot icon ✨):
    • Word – Draft, summarize, or rewrite documents
    • Excel – Analyze data, create formulas, generate insights
    • PowerPoint – Build presentations from prompts or documents
    • Outlook – Draft and summarize emails
    • Teams – Summarize meetings and chats
  3. Access Copilot Chat:
    Visit https://copilot.microsoft.com while signed in with your work account for enterprise chat capabilities.

Tips for Success

  • Be specific with your prompts (e.g., “Summarize this document in 3 bullet points”).
  • Review and edit Copilot responses before sharing.
  • Avoid entering sensitive or restricted data unless approved by your department.
